TASTE OF RAW AND RUSTIC

March 31, 2019

The term RUSTIC is pretty broad including many different design styles  into it. In its most basic definition, raw and rustic describes a design which is natural, rugged, rough, aged. It embraces nature-inspired textures, simple and earthy colors, and ultimately an unpretentious, organic warmth. It’s basically bringing outside to inside. It is a special atmosphere of harmony with nature.

One of the defining characteristics of a rustic home, whether it’s cottage or coastal, is the use of natural materials in its natural condition. That means lots of wood and stone (both in furniture and on ceilings/walls), and fabrics like burlap and canvas. While making a concept for rustic interiors, one has to keep in mind about using all the materials in its natural state. Some key points for the concepts are,

  1. Exposing the Brickwork
  2. Beauty of Natural Wood, log, twigs
  3. Experiment With Recycled Materials – corrugated sheets.
  4. Some raw/ rusted metals – iron pipes for shelves, copper finish sanitary
  5. Raw concrete in ceiling, shelves.
  6. Color palette is having lots of shades from brown, green, grey, white, turquoise green.
  7. Use of some different/unique materials like Rope, bamboos, canvas fabric, natural leather, with handcrafted décor.
  8. Use of stone may be on walls, floor or simply just a stone wash basin on a wooden log counter.

This style differs with its exclusive inner strength which is in harmony with comfort and refined simplicity of real quality.

MODERN TASTE OF MINIMAL STYLE

March 1, 2019

The style of minimalism is a design approach that is characterized by attitude and brevity of expression in decoration. It is mainly achieved through the use of functional furniture and interior objects, geometric shapes and a combination of usually not more than two basic colors. But just like the no-makeup makeup trend, it’s not as simple as it looks.

When creating a classic minimalistic interior, it’s all about the base color. Subdued hues rule here—from beige to greige and every ecru-inspired tone in between. If you want to introduce some color, be sure to choose solid pigments that are easy on the eyes and fuse well with the neutrals, such as earth-tone browns, blues, tans, and greens, or even the all time evergreen black & white combo.

And very carefully you have to buy quality over quantity and invest in classics that will stand the test of time. Choose well-made pieces that are built to last, will withstand daily use, and look better as a result.

Adding in accessories is all about providing variety while preserving balance. You’ll want to add in enough of these items so that the room feels intentionally designed, rather than hastily put together. However, at the same time, your space shouldn’t feel claustrophobic.

To explain minimalistic design we can say, it is the way of:

  • Simplicity in form and function.
  • Uncomplicated cladding & wall finishes.
  • Clean, open, light-filled spaces.
  • Simple detailing devoid of decoration.
  • Strategic use of materials for visual interest, texture, and personality.

Not only are they a hub for dining and drinking, they usually wind up being the home’s social focal point too. This makes it all the more reason to plan your’s carefully! You’re going to be spending a lot of time in this room, so make sure you love it. The best place to start when planning a kitchen is to do your research—thoroughly. Look through brochures, ask around and get inspired. It’s also wise to seek recommendations from friends if they’ve recently had work done themselves. Next up, set out your goals and budget. Are you going for a complete overhaul? Or just a few low-cost cosmetic changes? Will you be doing any of the work yourself, or hiring professionals for all aspects? Also, don’t forget to factor in the size of the space you’re working with. Small kitchens come with a very different set of considerations to their larger counterparts.
